3rd Annual Southern California Genitourinary Cancer Research Forum OVERVIEW
A formalized platform does not exist for clinicians to share clinical trial portfolios among individuals at different institutions. In addition, there is no systematic means for updating providers regarding advances in genitourinary cancers and no established forum for providers with interests in genitourinary cancers to meet.
There is a critical lack of knowledge of what clinical trials are available to patients in the Los Angeles area and is rapidly changing treatment options for patients with genitourinary cancers. It is challenging to keep pace with these developments. There are many providers who focus on genitourinary cancers in the Los Angeles area - relatively few know and interact with one another and practice multidisciplinary care optimally.
THIS INTENSIVE PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE PARTICIPANTS WITH A PLATFORM TO DISCUSS RECENT ADVANCES IN GENITOURINARY CANCER, IN AN EFFORT TO STIMULATE COLLABORATIONS AMONG EXPERTS IN THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA REGION, AND MAKE WAY FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW CLINICAL TRIALS.
