The 2021 WHO Classification of Central Nervous System (CNS) Tumors: Update IV - Embryonal Tumors - Enduring

Diagnosis of CNS tumors is a challenge for the pathologists. The recent updates require molecular methods for correct diagnosis and classification. Ideal practice requires incorporation of molecular data and new guidelines. Pathologic diagnosis of CNS tumors plays an important role in deciding management options for the patients. The most recent (2021) WHO classification has addressed many issues in redefining diagnostic criteria, and molecular signatures of these tumors. This is going to have a significant impact on patient outcome. The lecture will address the recent changes in classification of the CNS tumors.
