2026 Endocrinology Grand Rounds | Adrenocortical Carcinoma Management Updates

August 5, 2026

Adrenocortical carcinoma is a deadly disease, which is rare and aggressive, and most clinicians do not feel comfortable managing it. Most clinicians are not very well familiar with the care for their patients with adrenocortical carcinoma, due to insufficient training. Also systemic therapy in adrenocortical carcinoma management has become more advanced and the complexity of this treatment requires more and ongoing training.

For many clinicians treating adrenocortical cancers, it is not clear when to use systemic therapy and what are choices there are. This activity will increase the knowledge of endocrinologist to better understand how to manage patients with adrenocortical carcinoma. It also emphasizes which image modalities, the genetic testing used for it and, which systemic therapy is more useful in this cancer, based on updated guidelines on the management of adrenocortical carcinoma.
