Each year, the American Cancer Society estimates the number of new cancer cases and deaths that will occur in the United States. Over 2 million new cancer cases are projected to be diagnosed, and 618,00 cancer deaths are expected to occur in the United States in 2025. These figures highlight the need for ongoing education on the latest advancements in oncology for solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, for the improvement of patient outcomes and cancer care.
The field of oncology is evolving rapidly, with new FDA approvals and evolving data across tumor types every day. Staying current with these developments can be challenging. This comprehensive symposium will address this gap by delivering state of the art education across the spectrum of malignancies, focusing on multidisciplinary cancer management and creating a team-based approach for cancer patients, while providing practitioners the necessary tools and latest advances across tumor types.
Target Audience
Internists, general surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, thoracic surgeons, hematologists, supportive/palliative care specialists and all other allied health care professionals interested in the subject matter.
Learning Objectives
- Utilize therapeutic options when treating patients diagnosed with cervical and endometrial malignancies.
- Identify optimal medical and targeted therapeutic techniques in the treatment of gynecologic cancers.
- Implement treatment strategies for the management of cervical and endometrial malignancies.
- Identify efficient strategies for integrating emerging therapies into clinical practice and outline how these approaches address the evolving healthcare environment.
