Forward2021 Pediatric Grand Rounds | Caring for Children with Cancer Predisposition Syndromes: An Evolving Landscape
Technical advances in genomic medicine make identifying germline cancer mutations both easier and more accessible. Novel associations are being identified and recommendations continue to evolve as more data is acquired regarding recognizing and caring for this population. It is imperative to provide pediatric oncologists with the state of the science and help them understand the array of pediatric cancer predisposition syndromes currently known. The purpose of this lecture is to update pediatric oncologists on cancer predisposition syndromes that impact pediatric patients, and help them integrate best practices into clinical care.
Target Audience
City of Hope Pediatric Hematology/Oncology physicians, advance practice practitioners, City of Hope staff and research teams.

- Identify indications for germline evaluation to identify a cancer predisposition syndrome.
- Integrate diagnostic algorithms for germline evaluation into clinical care.
