Technical advances in genomic medicine make identifying germline cancer mutations both easier and more accessible. Best care and management for this specialized population is still evolving. 
The purpose of this lecture is to provide pediatric oncologists with the state of the science and help them integrate best practices for cancer surveillance into clinical care and to provide updates on cancer surveillance opportunities among pediatric patients with cancer predisposition syndromes.

Target Audience

City of Hope Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Physicians, Advance Practice Practitioners, City of Hope staff and research teams.

  • Identify indications for liquid tumor biopsies in patients with a cancer predisposition syndrome.
  • Interpret results from liquid tumor biopsies.
  • Discuss frequency of cancer surveillance.
