The COVID-19 pandemic has ushered in an unprecedented era to the global societies. Apart from respiratory system, the virus has also affected various other organs of the human body. One such organ is placenta. Pregnant women affected by COVID-19 developed placental pathologies. It is important for the pathologists to be aware of these new pathologies in human placenta, so proper diagnosis can be rendered to the patients.
The purpose of this lecture is to update the pathologists about placental pathology associated with COVID-19 infection

City of Hope pathologists, oncologists, pathology fellows, and researchers.
