Professional Practice Gap:

There are rapid advances in the field of oncology and oncologic pathology. It is important for the physicians and trainees to stay updated. There exists knowledge gap regarding recent advances in cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Pathologists play a key role in determining patient care. Research in the field of pathology and hematopathology is moving at a rapid pace. Regular lectures from experts will help the physicians and trainees to stay updated. The gap exists as it is not always possible to stay updated with recent advances.

  • Maintain the most updated practice in pathology.
  • Develop critical thinking skills and discuss relevant research topics.
  • Discuss possible barriers and biases which may impact patient care (i.e., race, ethnicity, language, gender identity/orientation, age, socioeconomic status, attitudes, feelings, or other characteristics).
