2021 Pediatric Grand Rounds | Adolescent and Young Adults (AYAs) at City of Hope: Moving from “Shook” to “Glowed Up”

Duarte, CA US
May 6, 2021

There is a need in Pediatric Oncology for collaboration between medical and psychosocial healthcare providers, which can lead to increased attentiveness to psychological demands in oncology care for patients.. The gap in practice exists as the therapeutic modalities are distinct and oncology providers do not receive specialized training in psychology.

Oncology care is multidisciplinary, encompassing body and mind.  This lecture is to help inform oncologist of the critical work performed by our psychologists, who specialize in oncology care, in an effort to enhance clinical collaboration.
