2022 Pediatric Grand Rounds | Combining CAR T Cells with Maintenance Therapy

CAR T-cell immunotherapy is a novel treatment option which can provide cure to the pediatric patients with very high risk ALL. However, additional approaches to decrease relapse rate after this treatment can be of benefit to the patients. Ongoing research needs to be presented to the clinicians and to the research community to increase awareness and assure that the treating providers are offering the patients the most current and effective treatment options.

Target Audience

City of Hope Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Physicians, Advance Practice Practitioners, City of Hope staff and research teams.

  • Discuss the mechanism of action of CAR T cells.
  • Identify the advantage of combining  CART cells with maintenance therapy in pediatric ALL population.
