Children's Oncology Group is an international consortium seeking to optimize oncology care. In evaluating outcomes across disease subsets, there are differences based on race.
The purpose of this lecture combined with Part 1 by Dr. Winestone is to update pediatric oncologists on racial disparities in outcomes across Children's Oncology Group Trials.
Target Audience
City of Hope Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Physicians, Advance Practice Practitioners, City of Hope staff and research teams.
Learning Objectives
- Identify factors that impact racial disparities in outcome across Children's Oncology Group trials.
- Assess possible underlying reasons that these factors affect outcome.
- Outline strategies to improve these factors and narrow the outcome disparity gap.
