2022 Pediatric Grand Rounds | Socioeconomic Disparities in Outcomes Across Childhood Cancer
Children's Oncology Group (COG) is an international consortium seeking to optimize oncology care. In evaluating outcomes across disease subsets, there are significant differences based on socioeconomic status. There is a need to become aware of the reasons for these barriers and identify opportunities to bridge the gap in order to understand differences in outcomes across COG trials by the socioeconomic status of the patients. The purpose of this lecture is to update pediatric oncologists on socioeconomic disparities in outcomes across Children's Oncology Group Trials.
Target Audience
City of Hope Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Physicians, Advance Practice Practitioners, City of Hope staff and research teams.
